Episode 67– New Soul
November 9th, 2011 § Leave a Comment
Dear Ones, hello!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Today’s class is all about inversions! We explore a new perspective in headstand, handstand, feathered peacock and shoulderstand. (This is not a beginner class, but a podcast for those familiar with all of the above inversions. For beginner and all-levels inversion classes, try episode 65, 63, 61, 59, 46, 43 (intro to feathered peacock), actually most level 1-2 classes have an inversion and these videos: shoulderstand and headstand.
Since the last podcast, I taught a baby-mama yoga class. It felt great to be back teaching. Also, I am happily practicing at a local ashram in Portland and feel very much at home there. I will keep you updated on future classes on my calendar.

August 3rd, 2011 § 1 Comment
Hello hello, yogis!
Thank you so much for checking in for episode 64. This is a strong level 2-3 class. I hope you love it!
We’ll be back next time with an all-levels series focusing on the Kleshas.
Connections
I do hope you’ll get in touch with your yoga questions, stories or suggestions for future podcasts. I realized I made a typo a few weeks ago when thanking a reader for her comment. I’m so sorry Jamie!! Thanks again for the suggestion to make a shoulder stand video. Making videos is one of my favorite things to do as a teacher– hopefully more will follow!

Episode 53–Metta Matters
October 21st, 2010 § Leave a Comment
Hello dearies,
We introduced the Brahma Viharas a few weeks ago. These are concepts I continually go back to in teaching yoga, as they can bring so much more joy to interactions with others and our Selves. Today’s class focuses on Miatri, Metta, or lovingkindness. Metta is one of my “deserted island” practices (if I were stranded a la LOST and could only bring 3 practices with me, this would be one of them…definitely). I do it all the time! I do hope you love this practice.
Thank you so so much for listening and for your support of the podcast.
Blessings,
Kelly

Episode 49– Open Attention to the Present
September 13th, 2010 § Leave a Comment
Blessings, YOGIS!
I’m so so excited to bring you a live, level 2 class today. This is a hip-opening, heart-opening practice that will bring a spark to your eyes. There is a bit of comedy when I talk whilst demostrating arm balances (I can talk through inversions, but *NOT* arm balances– ha!). Sending you much love and gratitude, dears! Also, the photo of eka hasta bhujasana is from today… at 4 months pregnant! (Thought you might enjoy the details of that photo.)
