Starting this Thursday, January 10, I will be offering a hatha yoga class at Community Fitness in Ravenna from 7:30 to 8:20p.m.
Hatha Yoga is the yoga of balanced action. This class focuses on cultivating a strong and supple body while purifying the mind. The asana (posture) segment of class blends both flowing and prolonged postures, finding both strength and sweetness through the physical practice of the poses. This class incorporates classical yoga philosophy, pranayama (breath-technique), chanting and dhyana (meditation) and is appropriate for students of all levels looking to enrich their yoga practice.
Community Fitness is located at 2113 NE 65th Street in Seattle. The class is $5.95 plus tax. If you are new to Community Fitness, please arrive 15-20 minutes early. Community Fitness has mats, props and a changing room for student use.
